1958 - El 29 de Agosto en Gary, Estado de Indiana, Estados Unidos de Norteamérica nace Michael Joseph Jackson, hijo de Joseph "Joe" Walter Jackson y de Katherine Scruse. El padre trabajaba en la industria metalúrgica como operador de grúa y la madre colaboraba en la economía familiar con trabajos esporádicos en los grandes almacenes de la zona.A Michael le antecedieron sus hermanos Maureen (conocida como Rebbie) nacida en 1950, Sigmund Esco (Jackie) en 1951, Toriano Adaryll (Tito) en 1953, Jermaine LaJuan en 1954, LaToya Ivonne en 1956 y Marlon David en 1957. Le siguieron Steve Randal (Randy) en 1962 y Janet Damita Jo en 1966.
1964 - Gana su primer dinero actuando en Mr. Lucky, un club local. Los niños Jackson comienzan así a visitar continuamente decenas de escenarios y participando en cuanto concurso de nuevo talento hubiera.En esos años, los "Jacksons" eran los bichos raros, ya que ensayaban todos los días y tenían prohibido salir a la calle. Mientras que los niños que no participaban en el grupo ayudaban a la economía familiar sacando la nieve de la acera del vecindario.

En el otoño se rueda un nuevo especial de televisión, seguido de la primera gira europea. Randy, el hermano menor, comienza a actuar con el grupo. El 4 de agosto del mismo año se edita el Segundo álbum solista de Michael llamado "Ben". 1973- El 13 de abril Michael edita su tercer álbum solista llamado "Music & Me". Clásico e atemporal, el disco es una colección de balada. Es el LP donde Michael canta mejor y sigue siendo uno de sus favoritos. |
El 12 de septiembre The Jackson 5 editan un nuevo álbum llamado "Get It Together" considerado el mejor disco de los Jackson., siendo tan sólo 8 largas canciones. Debían dejar su etapa adolescentes para mostrarse definitivamente como un grupo ya maduro.
Michael con su recién editado "Off The Wall" en el mes de agosto obtiene el número uno con su tema "Don´t Stop ´Till You Get Enough", y disco de oro y platino para su álbum solista.
Previamente a su salida, en octubre se había lanzado el primer single "The Girl Is Mine" a dúo con Paul McCartney... ni el propio Michael Jackson podría imaginar lo que se le venía. |

"The Making Of Michael Jackson ´s Trhiller" se convierte en un hito de ventas.A principios del año se edita como single "Billie Jean" que en sólo seis semanas llega a lo más alto de las listas y se convierte también en disco de oro. Le sucede "Beat It" en el mes de febrero que seguiría el mismo camino. Pocas semanas después aparen los videos musicales de ambos temas que refuerzan las ventas de ambos y del álbum. A mediados de mayo, el álbum dejaba su lugar de privilegio cuando ocurrió lo imprevisto: aparece en el especial de TV celebrando el 25 aniversario de la Motown. En este, Michael interpreta en solitario "Billie Jean" y la audiencia enloquece cuando presenta por primera vez su paso "moonwalk". Pero exactamente el 1 de diciembre, exactamente un año después del lanzamiento del álbum, Michael Jackson estrena el video de "Trhiller", un corto de 14 minutos dirigido por John Landis. Ante tanta expectación el álbum se edita en el mes de noviembre, así "Dangerous" se convierte en el disco de Michael más rápidamente vendido. Tan solo en Estados Unidos coloca 2 millones de copias en 6 semanas, vendiendo hasta la actualidad más de 30 millones en todo el mundo. 1994- Michael se casa con Lisa Marie Presley, hija del legendario Elvis Presley, el 26 de mayo en la República Dominicana. 1995- Se edita "History" el 16 de Junio de 1995 que contiene quince canciones nuevas y un compacto con grande hits. Comienza la rutina promocional.

Debbie se encontraba embarazada de 6 meses. 1997- El 6 de febrero se anuncia la gran noticia: nace el primer hijo de Michael: Prince Michael Jackson Junior. Se edita "Blood On The Dance Floor - History In The Mix". Contiene 5 temas inéditos: "Blood On The Dance Floor", "Morphine", "Superfly Sister", "Ghosts" y "Is It Scary" y 8 temas remixados del álbum History. El álbum se convierte en el LP de remixes más vendido en la historia de la música con 3 millones de copias. Edita el espectacular cortometraje de 45 minutos "Ghosts". Fue estrenado en los cine Sony en los Estados Unidos el 25 de octubre.
